Q: Trent Reznor
A: Who?
From Shacknews a few months ago...
Kinda strange we've not heard more about this; Reznor had a pretty major role in the game development. It's also kinda funny in a way, when you consider on average it's about four or five years between NIN album releases...Nine Inch Nails fansite The NIN Hotline is reporting that due to the delays in getting DOOM 3 finished, Trent Reznor is no longer involved with the sound and music of the game. He is now working on a new Nine Inch Nails album instead. For reasons unknown, none of his work will end up in the game now apparently.
The story (such as it is) is at http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/26522/ .
For a dark man shall come unto the House of God, and the darkness shall be upon him, yea, even within him.

I like this quote off the Shacknews board on the subject:
That about sums it up.On a scale of 1 - 10 on how important Trents stuff would have been for the final Doom3, it gets a 3.
Big fucking deal.
omg TNL epics!
Eh, I would have been curious to hear what he'd come up with, after the utter strangeness that was his Quake 1 "soundtrack."
Woot, new NIN CD. Nice.
Metallica should sign up to do the soundtrack for Doom 3. As soon as a monster is alerted to your presence they can play St. Anger; that will give every one more than enough motivation to either high tail it outta there or destory everything in sight to shut it off.![]()
