Hey! Japanese devs delay stuff JUST as much, if not more. Okay, just as much if that. But... I forgot the point of this message.
Microsoft announced today that Sudeki has been pushed back to Spring 2004.
A very high-profile RPG for the Xbox, Sudeki prides itself on having a "Japanese feel" while being developed by a Western developer. Though there have been several projects in recent years (notably the commercial and critical flop, Shadow Madness) which riffs the anime style, Sudeki looks to succeed in the sense that the character art doesn't make you wish your vision was impaired.
In development by Climax (not to be confused with Japan-based Climax Entertainment), Sudeki was originally slated to be released Holiday 2003.

Of course, there are plenty of exceptions on both sides (Half-Life 2's good secrecy in America; and in Japan, I think Dragon Quest 8 was old enough to vote).
Someone has to say it, so it may as well be me...
Is there any Xbox game slated for this holiday season that WON'T be pushed back to 04?
And I think HL2's sercrecy is blown out of proportion. Valve has no track record whatsoever, so it shouldn't have been a surprise that they were working on a sequel. It's still better than blabbing on and on about it, but my Surprise-o-Meter didn't register much when I heard the news ;p
no seriously, i dont remember one x-box gmae i ahev cared about that has not been delayed(ok, soucl calibbur, but im talking console exclusive one) so this does not surprise me in the slightest, it still looks good though, so i could be worth the wait. besides, spring means it will break up next years summer dry spell. come to think of it, the box usually comes alive in the summer and is forgettable in christmas time.

Well as long as it's for the better I won't complain, I wouldn't have got to play it till 2004 anyway
I'm still trying to figure out how that werewolf I saw plays a role in this game, and not one of the main characters ether... this was a different one![]()
no, i think she is a werewolf, the underdressed female named buki is the half beast/half human
