I'm loving the title.
Your worst nightmare or secret little dirty fantasy has come true: Nintendo president Satoru Iwata confirmed that Namco is working on a GameCube rhythm action called Donkey Konga, scheduled for a spring 2004 release in Japan. Featuring characters from the Donkey Kong universe, the game will use a peripheral called the Nintendo GameCube Conga Drum.

Same here, it's definitely a new thing for the DK games, and it's a logical evolution for the characters as well.

I think it's good because it definitely adds some variety to the Gamecube lineup, but at the same time, drumming congo's to the Mario theme is just plain hilarious, and for all the wrong reasons.

I wonder what the odds are of this being released outside of Japan. I enjoyed Samba to no end, but I sold off both maraca sets because I needed the money.
Maybe congo drums will be equally fun.
Mmm, no, I still think maraca shaking is more fun than congo pounding.
...
That has so many double meanings in there that I think I'll stop, quickly.
No it isn't. The logical thing to do would be another aaction/adventure title. If Namco/Nintendo want to make a Bemani game they could do it without the DK license.Originally Posted by Jeremy
