What type of connectivity will it have? Obviously from the cover art it'll have something.
The logo seems to be saying that you can use a GBA as a controller, which would be neat as long as it's not required. Time will tell, I guess.

  2. interesting cover art...

  4. this just keeps looking better and better.

seems like they're gonna go crazy with the whole playing as a group aspect of the game.

  5. Ohyeah 4player madness ..I think i'm gonna have to kick everybody out of the room cause none will leave if they come near this game! Looking foward for this game.

  6. Tron told me about this and I didn't believe her, because it blows my mind that Nintendo would release anything this cool. I'll probably wait for the domestic release but it's not like I'm not tempted.

  8. There's a trailer and some commercials up at Magicbox. Atsumare! (I have no idea what that means, but someone keeps shouting it in the trailer)

  9. From IGN:
October 13, 2003 - If you thought Wario Ware for the Game Boy Advance was fun, you ain't seen nothin' yet!

We got a chance to try out the GameCube version of the game, titled Atsumare! Made in Wario in its Japanese form, and are convinced that there's gonna be some multiplayer mayhem ensuing on GameCubes everywhere shortly.

Single player mode seems to offer the same experience as the Game Boy Advance version, although playable on the big-screen and with a few new mini-games included. While the artwork for the cinema sequences has been redone, the actual mini-games themselves look for the most part like you're playing a Game Boy Advance game through the Game Boy Player. In fact, the game's interface is actually a Game Boy Advance, zoomed up on the screen section -- you can even see the GBA logo!

Multiplayer is the main focus of the game, and there's a whole lot of variety on offer. You begin a multiplayer game, playable by two to four players, by selecting a character and inputting a name. You then select from the various modes of play. We only got to try out two of the different modes.

One mode is set in a hospital, with you and the other players taking turns to go inside the doctor's office to play a mini-game. Before you play, the doctor orders you to do something special while playing -- like lean over on one leg, close one eye, squat, and so-forth. Once you've finished the minigame, the other players have to hit the A button repeatedly in order to rate your performance. If you slacked off and didn't obey the game's commands, your friends will probably not rate you highly, and you'll lose the game.

The other mode we tried out was also of the taking-turns variety. This time, you and the other players are lined up in front of a balloon. One player plays a randomly chosen mini-game as the other players repeatedly press the A button to pump up the balloon. The player unlucky enough to be playing his minigame at the moment the balloon explodes looses. This mode gets particularly intense as the balloon gets big and the screen begins to flash red. You'll probably find yourself speeding through mini-games as fast as you can. Both these modes offered up enough laughs for us to want to buy the game just to play them alone. But there's plenty more in store.

We saw more than twenty multiplayer games. Included among this are four player simultaneous modes in which up to four players can play mini games at the same time. Sometimes the screen splits into four, but other times the players play on the same screen. Nothing beats four player stick-your-fingers-up-the-rotating-nose! We also saw a multiplayer paper-plane race and even a mode in which players pass virtual e-Cards through an on-screen e-Card reader while another player plays through a mini game.

We're not sure what this last mode is all about just yet. While the single player mode looks like it will end up being a disappointment to those who played the Game Boy Advance original, the multiplayer mode is where Wario Ware GCN will probably shine. Check out the first movies of this game in the media section while waiting for a more in-depth report later this week.
awesome. that sounds like soooo much fun. not gonna be able to import because of multiplayer unfortunatley.
