I would have put this in online gaming and matchmaking but next to no one checks there. I haven't been able to connect for the last 2 days. It was the first time that I tried to connect in about a month. I read that some updates started on the 14th but I can't connect. When I put a game in, it takes me to the troubleshooting and runs the auto test. Everything comes up good(cable,IP,DNS) then it says XBOX live not found. Is anyone else having these problems? The only thing I've done recently is upgrade my PC from Windows ME to 2000 pro but I can't imagine that doing anything.

Your fortune Strider, however doesn't account for every other user of XBL, because I too am encountering the same situation. I connect my xbox directly, so that eliminates the possibility of any conflicts via my pc. Nigel, whose your service provider?
try going to www.xbox.com/connect to troubleshoot any/all possibilities to restore your connection.
