If the monitor can Horizontally sync to 15.75kHz and if it can accept analog RGB then it is possible. The general concensus from that era is that these were digitally low color(16 color) monitors but you could have used analog RGB in which case the amount of colors would be unlimited. I have an Amdek Color 600 monitor from 1984, and I waiting to test my Jamma Switchbox on it. I'll let you know. As for Apple, maybe. Amiga/Commodore monitors, definitely. Hope that helps.
