Thread: Abandonware gaming

  1. Correct. id still sells it and a lot of other older games on its site. They're also widely available in anthologies and standalone boxes in stores. Even Wolfenstein 3D is, as published by Activision.

    Who cares. Download it anyway.

Yeah, on doom the game itself is freeware, but the WADs are not.

Then again, hasn't everyone had doom at one time or another?

    *edit*

You know, I paid 70 fucking dollars for Doom on the 32x back in the day, don't I deserve to download it?

Okay, I guess not, but I did buy Ultimate Doom PC too...

  4. Commander Keen was on of my favorites. I also liked the Hugo adventure games. (ie Hugo's House of Horrors)

Damn did those Hugo games test my vocabulary.

If any of the companies have problems they can contact them and tell them to remove it. They're fairly open about that. Plus, they have link to software that they cant have that go to pages where they can still buy them.

  6. Xbox 360 I

The best abandonware game I ever played is Uncharted Waters II.

  7. I have the "Even more Incredible Machine"... but I don't have the damn manual and there is a password you need to play it in there and I can't find the password anywhere
