Dear Senator.
I am a hard working, tax paying, voting man, and normally I do not write these letters...
But I am enraged at this game my child has bought from the store, with no check for ID whatsoever.
This 'Chess' is an abomination to nature, and the soul of Mother Earth itself!
It glorifies war, obviosly cashing in on the Recent popularity of the bloodshed in Iraq. Presenting the "White" team as the obvious superior power, giving them the unfair first move in every single game, wether their opponents are black or red. This racial profiling makes me sick. Even naming a character a white knight shows an obvious reference to the Klu Klux Klan.
Each side is represented by a King, although there is a Queen, it has recently come to my attention that she may be eliminated without sacrificing the outcome of the game. I feel that a game promotes violence against women alone is terrible enough, but the game enforces a rigid caste system, in where the poorest. most dispriveledged and numerous "Pawns" are thrust into the front line, and often die without mercy, not a few times in place of so called "important" characters such as the bishop or the aforementioned white knight.
Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this game is that, even though dozens of people are killed in a game of Chess, until the King of the losing team is ambushed and assasinated by the winning team, once the game is restarted, all are returned to where they started as though nothing happened at all. Children are young and impressionable, and they do not fully understand the separation of fantasy and reality, do we really want to encourage this distortion of the reality of life and death. Do we want children mimicking the characters of Chess, being submissive to abuse as a queen, being a pawn and not questioning the so called "Authority"
I have learned that Chess is often played in the military, how it got marketed to civilians is beyond comprehention. Chess is often in school game rooms, corrupting children to become mindless drones or cruel conquerors.
I am currently filing a civil suit along with a mother who's son was lynched in Arkansas for being black. It seems that the Neo Nazi Teenager that hung him had been known to play a game called "Hangman"!! We feel this is no coincidence. Obviously this game corrupted this innocent child's mind, from drawings on the corner of pages, it seems he would play hangman even when reading "The Turner Diaries" his favorite book. As if children haven't already given up on reading as it is!
I comissioned a study with a local university to discover that most children in our Juvenille hall institutions have either played Hangman or Chess, many while being incarcerated! This is not a coincidence! You must Stop this, Senator!!!
We Demand Action! We will take this to the supreme court if we have to!

That's been done before, and better.

Here's a thought;
Parent's get mad if a mouse hits a cat with a frying pan, because a child might mimic him, but of all the popular "safe cartoon" dating back to even the early days of disney, nearly every character has either swallowed a bar of soap, or flied using homemade wings. and nobody says a word.

*drops dead laughing*
I can compare our soilders to pawns and see exactly how they're treated. Then we go up the ladder with our rook and knight...

Actualy, I was trying to match, argument for argument, every accusation againt videogames from lieberman to the post columbine senate hearings, but I guess I am not the first.
Strange that satire is becoming real life, instead of vice versa

Pac Man is definitely not a game for kids. You wouldn't want youngsters playing a game that focusses on drug use and spooky, supernatural themes.Originally Posted by Zerodash
