Thread: Reliving a favorite

  1. Reliving a favorite

I was looking through my games last night looking for something to play and decided upon Samba De Amigo for Dreamcast. Back the day I was all about this game. I got one of my friends into and we played for hours seeing who would get the higher score (now we didn't have the maracas, we just used the controllers).

So I pop in last night and choose Super Hard mode and it was like I hadn't lost a step, getting pefects on Opa Opa and Magical Sound Shower and a 98% on Burning Hearts, with the special stage, I get a 90% on Macarena.

I loved the fact that Sonic Team had released downloadable songs for the game, something I wish Sony had of done with Frequency/Amplitude.

I never did get Samba 2001, I didn't find the $65 price tag of most online import retailers attractive. Here's to Sega/Sonic Team to releasing another version for a current system and the maracas.

  2. I know what you mean. Just last night I went into the vault and busted out my Sega Saturn. With it, I brought out the Ghouls and Ghosts collection and both Virtua cop 1 and 2. I kicked so much ass in all 3 games, it was like I never stopped playing them. Damn, I love these old games.

  3. I just came back from reliving the old 16-bit TMNT games. Pure fun.

I'm now officially psyched about the new ones coming out...

  4. Playing the first castlevania was something. I didn't remember the game being this hard, yet I got the hang of it and enjoyed every bit of it.

  5. Mega Drive

I played Super Ghouls & Ghosts for a while yesterday. I gave up on playing it after a while because it's still kicking my ass as much as it ever did in the past...sigh.

  6. i've been playing a lot of doom (jdoom) lately, and yes, it is still excellent.

my dreamcast wasn't connected to the internet very often, so i just used a code to unlock the downloadable songs.) an xbox samba game with truly downloadable songs would rock, but it'll never happen.

  7. I've been playing quite a bit of Ristar lately.

  8. Unfortunately, I barely have time to play new games nowdays thus making a chance for me to go and replay an old favorite equal null

I did had resurrection of my Diablo 2 obession about a month ago, so I spent July playing mostly it, but now its died out again.

  9. I've been wanting to get the new F-Zero, but I won't be able to buy it until next month, so I busted out F-Zero for SNES and it's been a nice nostalgia trip. The original F-Zero soundtrack is definitely one of my all time favoites in the racing genre.
