Glad to know you recognized all of them.

Cool...he's going for one of the only nationally recognized programs; I'm not. I think it's decent enough. The campus could look better and have a bit more flair to it, but other than that it seems like a pretty standard campus (this is my first semester here). I'm thinking of moving to Denton from where I live now so I can get in on the life a bit more.

Denton's been a college town for quite a while. Texas Women's is fairly big and UNT is 31,000 this semester. Lots of nice eye candy between the two.

    Owned indeed.
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.

  7. There's one thing I don't miss about school: books. Or, to rephrase, book prices. Every year a new edition, which, of course, costs more than the used, previous edition, but contains pertinent updates (other-wise known as, we changed the pages slightly). Yippie.

This is actually my most expensive year to date, and only because of the one 2nd year course I'm taking. Boo!

    Off to buy books tomorrow!

Oh, and to anyone going to college/university in Ontario: enjoy the double cohort!

  9. I apologize to all you geology majors out there, but there is nothing less interesting than learning about rocks. They're fucking rocks for God sakes! Rocks...that just sit there...for millions of years...doing nothing. I guess whatever floats your boat and all that, but I'm not gettin' the whole rock thing.

Yeah, just wanted to let you all know. But college is pretty awesome so far. Classes only started a few days ago so I can't properly gauge their difficulty, but they're not so bad. It's just crazy seeing 500 kids in one room learning about calculus.

And frat houses are strange places. I was in one that looked a subway station. The whole party scene in general is strange. Literally hundreds of kids gather at this one spot on campus waiting for cabs, and it's like impossible to get one because everyone is trying to flag them down. Then you just ask the cab driver where the best party is, which ones got raided, ect., and he'll take ya there, no questions asked. Very convenient.

Living situation isn't that great, but I've gotten used to it. I'm currently broke as fuck, which sucks, and I have absolutely no time for a job that would pay me any decent money. But whatever.

All in all, college is a pretty odd institution. Like this little world setup for 18-22 year olds to learn about physics, then get totally trashed on the weekends.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
