New Mexico's worth keeping for the awesome type of Southwestern cuisine they contribute to the Southwest alone. Very different from Arizona and Texas, their next door neighbors and other SW cuisine contributors. They seem to implement green chiles in their cooking better than any other state in the Union, now that's some talent!

As for Wyoming...meh, I dunno. Then again, I don't understand the point of having a North AND South Dakota either. The two should just be merged. No one would notice or care if they were.

I assure you, South Dakotans would. Not sure about North Dakotans, though...I don't think anyone even lives there...
