Gay gamers and characters

I personally couldnt care less for the sexual orientation of the characters, as long as they are nicely presented and not overly flaming. If they done that way just to shock the players, its just stupid.

Just kidding. I don't really care either way. Some of the character designs nowadays makes you wonder, but I have no problem with a character being gay.

However, in my own personal experience, hardcore gamers seem notoriously narrow-minded when it comes to issues of race, gender, and sexuality, and even limited acceptance of women into the gaming scene has been an uphill battle.

The author's perception is screwed up. I'm in an interracial marriage, and I enjoy playing games with my wife. However, I think the videogame content currently being presented to the public lacks enough variety to attract more women gamers... but that's the fault of developers' creativity and publishers' willingness to take risks. Don't blame it on the heterosexual male consumer.

That boss from Final Fight with the girl's name was gay. With the statue of Liberty in the background. He *might* kiss you in the original, but he blatantly smacks you one in Mighty Final Fight. It's damnd funny!
