http://www.gamers.com/news/1461429Following up on the recent announcement of Magatama, Famitsu Weekly brings news of another first-party game for the Xbox in Japan. Phantom Dust is another action game, trading medieval Japan for a post-apocalyptic future.
The game's development is headed up by Yukio Futatsugi, who in a past generation was the director of Sega's Panzer Dragoon. His latest production is an action game in the Devil May Cry mold, with a much wider selection of attack options for the playable characters. Apparently, its hero is to be capable of as many as 300 different combat skills.
"Heroes" would be a better word, though, since Phantom Dust promises Xbox Live support for multiplayer action with voice chat enabled. As many as four players can slug it out in destructible science-fiction environments online.
Phantom Dust is approximately halfway complete, and Microsoft is shooting for a release in Japan some time in 2004. We'll likely get our first look at it before the end of the month, at the Tokyo Game Show.

If this isn't released stateside I will be very sad.
Play Guitar Hero //
Nice. Between this and Magatama, there looks to be some sweet first-party Xbox games on the way.
Whoa, that looks super rad! There are some fantastic looking effects going on there. Really cool lighting as well. Looks like it will have a strong multiplayer, and maybe Live/LAN considering one screen has an energy bar for "Player 8" More Japanese developers really need to jump on the Xbox no matter how well its doing, they can just make it do such cool stuff.
Barf! Barf! Barf!
i forgot this one:

Psychic Force 2050?
Looks pretty, in any case.
I saw somewhere (during the recent 2-day TNL meltdown) that the U.S. and Pal versions are supposedly being released "around" the time of the Japanese release. If so, I offer thanks.
Another reason to thrown on that dorky headset.
"Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"
