The tricky thing about Microsoft Grammar checker, is that you actually have to know about grammar to use it effectively.
Only you can stop sig pollution.

  5. Good to see a new "dope" game site come out. It's a sad state of affairs when the substances the creators are on is an apt description of the site though.

  6. I can't wait...for the comedy to ensue!

  7. I read this in my latest free issue and the first and only thing that came to mind was
    omg TNL epics!

  8. Quick thoughts:

Maxim has really done well for himself. In general. So much so that his magazine actually had Playboy contemplating going to a non-nude format (to get the young starlets Maxim gets who don't want to pose nude).

The man has like a ton of magazines now.

How well could this possibly do? Beyond the standard 16-20 year old demographic who subscribe to Maxim and Stuff as thier journal of choice?

Print for games very well may be dying. It might be dead and all the other magazines just haven't bled out yet. Like it or lump it GameGO was about as fresh an angle as there's been in a while and it was DOA.

Although I gotta admit, for a long time I thought a video game/electronics skin mag would do well (geek porn, like PC Accellerator, only good).

Who knows. I'll tell you this though, people need to learn real quick that gamers aren't going to flock to your magazine for news and reviews. By the time they get it from you, it's months old. Previews are just...whatever. If someone finally gets a clue and looks at a non-game magazine, looks at what type of content they have and actually start writing stories. Real journalism, then they'll have something.

Then again it begs the question, how to you write literature for a group, of which a large portion is made of people who don't like to read?

  9. I'll buy this magazine. I'd like to see it do well.

  10. if it is maxim quality thumbs up.
if it is stuff quality thumbs down.
