I've been saying that since the deal went down. No one cares about Rare, no one ever will.

Oh, and I like Gamespy. I think they do a pretty good job of what they do, which is catering to the "mainstream" crowd while not sounding like idiots at the same time. An act which is very hard to master (See: IGN, Gamepro as examples of when things go wrong)

They're probably the best of the bunch but good crap is still crap and you still have to read what they say with a skeptical eye.

considering that in the last year that Rare was with Nintendo,they only made up 1.2% of Nintendo's profit, i'd say it was a good decision.

sorta. the team that made Goldeneye started up Free Radical. which is probably why Perfect Dark sucked so much. once they Microsoft deal went down, about 40% of the staff that was against it became a Nintendo 2nd party called Zoonami.

personally, i forgot who Magicbox's source was, but from what i remember, it was just some random dude with no credibilty.

personally, im interested in seeing what becomes of the game, but i really have no intentions of playing it or anything. any of the "talent" that Rare had for the genre is long gone.

wasnt rare going to change the sytle of perfect dark? like 3rd person or something. or im smoking crack. at the least i remember is way back when they announced the ms buy out they showed joanna darks character design. and it was 'teh kiddie'. with the touch of shit character design that only rare has. whatever. and magic box mightve picked up 2006 from some xbox site that said pd0 was probably delayed till then since it wasnt shown at all at x03. i havent seen any official annoucement but i havent been looking though.

gamespy has a feature up now that lists Battletoads as one of the most overrated games ever, which is completely fucking retarded - Battletoads is one of the best games ever.

DKC's graphics have aged pretty well, but not much else has.. It's a very simplistic game with shitty character design, suck-ass bosses, and no sense of direction (in other words, why am i going through these levels? They're all the same!).

Heh not nessesarily, I remember they canned Malice on the Xbox, but I think that someone picked up the project. So you might still see it released on PS2. I keep seeing it previewed on the back on PS2 boxes. Maybe the same with happen with this.

It was argonaut who was working on malice, and from all news sources i have seen, malice is canned, along with the interesting looking "unseen" which was a ms deal. But hey guys, why the anger? i bet PD 2 and fable will light up the 06 holiday season.
