I have both Leftism and Rythm and Stealth. Personnaly I prefer the sound of Leftism. Reminds me of some good old school, innocent era of techno. However on both these albums, there are some excellent tracks, and some not so good ones. I don't know how they do that, but they have some of the best stuff out there, then filled with the album with some tracks I can beraly listen to the end.Originally Posted by Doc Holliday
Speaking of old Leftfield, My roomate bought the Hackers DVD recently and I forgot how cool the soundtrack was. Makes me remember the good old days where I got interested in techno music artists from Wipeout XL. Damn that too was a great compilation (Leftfield, Underworld, Prodigy, Fluke, Future sound of London, Orbital, Daft Punk)
After all these years, Fluke is still the king and stayed true to his particular style. I was able to find his latest album, Puppy which sound just like I exepected it would after 6 years of waiting Then I got his 3-CD compilation/history of Fluke: Progressive History XXX.
Tracer mentionned something about Rez OST in this thread. Well there's this guy, Adam Freeland, who composed the great piece of audio for Area 5, the best of the bunch. I found out he was also responsible for a track on Animatrix, also a very good one. So I got interested in Freeland, bought an album and downloaded the other. The track he made for Rez came from his album Fabric Live 16. The original song is called "All in Nothing". You recognize it immediately with its heavy beats and repetitive lyrics.. "Fear is the mind killer!". Very good stuff.
