Swype makes hardware keyboards obsolete anyway, except for games on emulators i guess. I'd much rather have the X than the 2.
Got the Droid X in the mail yesterday. I love it so far but I've got no frame of reference, this is my first smartphone. I was worried about going to only a touch screen keyboard but this is the best one I've ever tried, buttons are big and I'm making almost no mistakes with my fat fingers.

I've never been a high end phone guy (in fact, I never paid for one before), but the android thing is bringing a standard to such a huge range of phones that I finally felt like there were phones I like in my price range that would suit me.
So I got a Motorola Backflip for $50. It's underpowered, but I love the small size and giant keyboard. Can't keep up with the higher end 3D games and the OS update is still like two months away, but I'm still loving it.
Swype is easily the coolest feature the phone has. I like that it syncs with a WiiMote to play emulators. It did freeze on an emulator on the in store demo, but hopefully all that will be fixed withe the OS update. The phone is just too cool a toy to pass up on.
Finally pre-ordered Epic 4g. Come 31st, I will enter smart phone era.
I got 4G for the first time right now, only one bar but it's awesome.
I hear 4G speeds vary wildly depending on signal strength, too.
Also, regarding webOS lust:
Pretty crazy. WebOS could be cool if it were available on a broader range of phones.
WebOS *is* cool. I've had my Palm Pre for a few months now and the OS continues to impress me. And the free mobile hotspot is the shit.
