So Win Phone 7 looks really awesome. I want to check one out in person. I love the interface.
I'm not seeing it. Windows Phone 7 has a nice looking UI, and the initial round of phones are all high end spec which is nice, but the OS itself isn't ready for primetime. It's lacking true multitasking/backgrounding, there's no GPS nav, it seems to be plagued with long load times and is missing even some basic functions like Copy and Paste. It really looks to me like they rushed it out the door. Which doesn't mean they won't catch up by this time next year, but it doesn't seem that attractive right now.
Plus Android Gingerbread is coming very soon, with an all new UI, so it'd probably be smart to see where that's going before jumping ship to WP7.

So I got to actually use a Palm Pre 2 today.
I really really hope the hardware inside isn't as shit as the original pre was, becuase the software is so nice, and I want to see WebOS suceede as the 4th Mobile OS option.
And windows phone 7? LOL. More like 7 years too late...AMIRITE?!?

The Pre 2 has a solid 1 Ghz chip, but I'm disappointed that the form factor hasn't changed. I really hate portrait qwerty, the keys are tiny and unusable.
WebOS 2 looks like a really solid piece of code, but unless they license it third party manufacturers, I can't see it really surviving. Palm alone just doesn't have it like that hardware-wise.
Windows Phone 7 on the other hand, has great hardware, and an interesting UI, but the OS itself is just not ready for primetime.
