Thread: What Cell Phone Do You Carry?

  1. All my niggas is boostin' y'all.

  2. According to a contact i have deep in the bowels of Verizon, Sprint's SMS gateway (which runs Sprint, Nextel, Boost, Helio, and Virgin) is running 3-40 Hours delay with a 38% timeout.

    Where you at Dawg?

  3. Hmmm, I deal directly with Verizon Wireless, since they carry 88% of everybodies signals, that sounds fishy.

    also,

    Two homies and 1 white female/male emo like boost, you should too.

    Inside of verizon switchroom:

    How Boost transfers signal;

    That's right, a fucking switchroom (man on board 24/7) vs a fucking outside plant databox on a fucking wireless antenna.

    SMS gateways are the servers that process all the SMS traffic. Every carrier has thier own, as well as outbound switches for voice traffic and routers to connect said phone network to the internet. Verizon doesn't share signal with very many people, they do have some roamer agreements with US Cellular and Sprint, but everyone else uses 100% incompatible technology.

    In other words, a pure Nextel phone, or a ATT or T-Mobile phone will never talk to a Verizon tower. (actually, there is some areas where Verizon maintains a GSM network for legal reasons, but its rare)

    Well, hmmm, considering I was just at a switchroom about 2 weeks ago going over selective services for my data center and they FUCKING SHOWED ME the alltel (who they own fucktard), Sprint, and Revel (local shithole company) equipment and how they bill for it, I'd say you're wrong. But go ahead, tell me why you're not.

  7. TELL HIM SON, SHIT!

    Ok, well...They fucking own Altel. I should know, I FUCKING WORK FOR THEM. Its not even a seperate company anymore out side of the few markets they had to sell. I already mentioned sprint. Thats not even remotely close to 88%.

    I think your confusing Verizon WIRELESS with Verizon communications. You do realize the wireless and wireline divisions are two seperate companies, right?
