    Thumbs Down Revenge of Ninja Gals?

    Seems like there's sudden rush of action games featuring female Ninja as of late...

    Sega's Kunoichi,

    Konami's Cool Girl/Cy Girls,

    Activision/From Software's Tenchu: Kurenai,

    and

    Vivendi Universal's Red Ninja

    (if you stretch it, Namco's Nina sorta qualifies as Kunoichi-game as well...)

    Wonder if Tecmo will follow the trend with Ninja Gaiden sequel starring Kasumi...

    I've heard slight rumors about Itagaki eventually focusing on a Kasumi based game, he's not exactly the type of guy to leave a trend in the dust (hell, he's responsible for starting them in many cases) but I'd, of course, welcome any game from him.

    I'm pretty much from the school of thought that "any ninja is good ninja" so as long as the play doesn't get ridiculously stale, I'm up for anything they can throw at me.

    That said, any Tenchu game warrants a purchase, no questions asked.

    I think Red Ninja has the best character design. Kunoichi looks like something they picked up from the Maken X wastebasket.

    Wait a minute...what the hell is this??? A new Tenchu game?
    Announced just a day or two ago.

    What system was the original Kunoichi for?
    It's called Sega Ninja. I have it on MAME and it's not very fun. Nice colors, though.
