Kingdom Hearts II & Chain of Memories

In an effort to get TNL readers to start official threads for games even earlier than before, heres a thread for the new Kingdom Hearts games which I am very excited for-

Kingdom Hearts II (PS2) - It's the sequel that was supposed to be a PS3 game (lolrumors)! If the official art is any indication, then Kingdom Hearts II is gonna be FREAKY! Trenchcoat Mickey? Word.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memory (GBA) - Yeah, who saw this one coming? It's lookin pretty interesting. I'll definetly be getting this even though it's actually pretty hard to get me to buy a GBA game. The last game I bought was Wario Ware and Im not even sure if I want Mario Advance 4. Weird.

So for as much as I hate console RPGs, I love Kingdom Hearts. It really helps that I'm a whore for anything thats Disney (Minus The Proud Family) and that I love the character designs. I just really hope they keep focusing on the Disney side of things so I don't have to start whining about how Square got their Final Fantasy in my Lion King

I wish they would make an animated film using these darker Disney designs. An Anime/Disney OVA series perhaps?

I've heard all sorts of rumors that Disney is working towards creating some kind of Kingdom Hearts show in Japan. And after all these new announcements, I wouldn't be surprised by that at all. Could be cool.

As for the games, consider me excited (at least for the sequel... GBA one I need to see more of). That trailer from the end of Final Mix is just too cool (or as cool as something with hoody Mickey can be I guess). I'm one of the people that would like to see more Square stuff in these games. I'm cool with the Disney stuff too, as long as it makes sense and they do a better job at immersing you in their worlds (so Wonderland is four box shaped rooms huh? I didn't imagine it like that...).

Chux- What statue are you referring to? I can't seem to find it...

About the two Keyblades:
The Keyblade he's got over his shoulder is the one Mickey was using at the end of the game. The one he's got by his side is his own.

I think that's a really cool statue. He's sporting his new duds, and I like the much darker, more serious tone that this game looks like it's using. Not that the first one wasn't dark and serious. As a matter of fact, the first time I played it I was supprised at the amount of heaviosity due to the Disney name.

I can't wait for this to come out, and in the mean time I'mma see if I can't buy one of those statues.
