Thread: Crimson Tears

  1. Crimson Tears

The latest issue of Japan's Famitsu Weekly has the first information on a new beat 'em up called Crimson Tears. Co-created by folks at Capcom, Spike, and Dream Factory (who brought us the Tobal series and The Bouncer), the game features three playable characters: Aska, Kaede, and Tokio. For better or worse, the magazine makes comparisons to The Bouncer as characters can learn more moves as they continue to fight. Besides a single-player mode, there will be options for multiplayer matches and graphics (at least, the character models) will be cel-shaded. Famitsu lists Crimson Tears at 30% complete in development.

well, Dream Factory sucks ass. don't know what Spike has done, so im hoping that Capcom doesn't let these guys screw it up.

we need more good beat em ups this generation.

  2. I just hope it's better than the Bouncer
Right, because if anything validates the existance of a handheld piece of shit, it's taking those shitty handheld games and placing them on a screen big enough so that the inherent flaws of the software is visible to all humans. Including Ray Charles.

  3. Spike does the Fire Pro Wrestling series.

  4. Well, I'm looking forward seeing some screenshots from the game. I dont hate Dream Factory, even though Bouncer was somewhat of a dissapointment, so I hope their work with Capcom will make the game better.

  5. I didn't like the bouncer nor did I play kakuto Chojin but Dream Factory will always have a place in my heart for the godly Tobal 2.

  6. More Pictures

i dunno, i don't like the style much. it also just doesn't look that good either though. who knows though, it should be hard to fuck up a beat em up. they're so simple. but then again, one of the teams helping some how has managed to fuck up.

i wonder what this is gonna play like though. seems like you're gonna have special moves. that should be cool if done right.

i dunno were all these beat em ups are coming from, but it's nice to see them being made. i look forward to checking all of these out next week.

Hm, nice pics for the most. I could see myself playing this.

The Tobal series, Bouncer, and Ehrgeiz can collectively suck my sack though.

  8. Hard to fuck up a beat em up?

Dream Factory did an awesome job at that with The Bouncer. I'll wait and see how much involvement Capcom and Spike have it in though before getting excited.

  9. I think it looks cool. I dig the style and I welcome ANY beat em up. Bring it on Capcom!
