Thats not a bad thing you know...
WAAF used to broadcast over the net but it got to be too damn expensive. Something about fees to record companies or the FCC. Sucks too because the only radio station down here that plays anything even remotely listenable (err, yeah you know what I mean) just swithed to an all Beatles format.

What the all Beatles format? Yeah that's what I meant, It's worth listening to now. Before that I hear it was a smooth jazz Kenny G. type station. Though Listening to the Beatles 24/7 would get tiresome after awhile.Originally Posted by 88mph
Good choice, sir. Easily the best Radio station in Australia, and possibly the world. Its government funded, so they don't have to play whats popular!Originally Posted by Kenshin

88mph: Yeah, I love to play the music that I have in my own play list, but I dont know of anyway to learn about new music other than good radio stations.
Now I'll probably be listening to all the stations everyone posted all day. Can't wait to see whats out there.
A is for action
I listen to www.radioparadise.com at work all the time, excellent mix of music, and nothing to heavy to scare the co-workers..
Radio here in Hartford sucks major ass Clear Channel now owns the bulk of the stations here, and the others are owned by Infinity brodcasting. There is like one station left, WCCC that isnt owned by a major company. But thier format is a little to "neu-metal" for my tastes.
Ive got XM radio and its a godsend, I am waiting for my new unit to come in so I can use it at work in its boombox...
I KNOW! Man, I hate corporate radio so much.Originally Posted by arjue

Like we needed more P.Diddy. Now Radio 3's grand concept is nothing but a web magazine...
Of course, Radio Nova in Paris is a commercial station, but they seem to play 1/3 the amount of commercials as in North America, and have an extremely varied playlist. (Almost like the old days of actual DJs.)

A couple friends and I are looking into getting some air time on our school's online radio station. I think it's gonna happen too, it'll be pretty cool. I think we're gonna go for various genre's since it seems that on our current lineup there aren't any random play stations. I'll let you guys know how it works out and give a link when it happens.
