I was wondering, anyone know if online fan artist Falcoon is working for Playmore now? They mentioned his name an awful lot during their TGS presentation.
Let me know if I've got my facts straight:
-SNK is releasing SvC Chaos, Metal Slug 4, and a KoF: 2001/2002 pack all on the PS2.
-SNK is going to use Atomiswave hardware for upcoming games
-The 3D KoF will use Atomiswave.
Now, I dunno if I'm grabbing at straws, but it feels like SNK is starting to get its act together. I mean, it's good enough that they're so adamant about putting their games on a popular console (PS2), but the turnaround time for SvC Chaos is remarkable. Normally, a Neo game has to be out eons before it comes out on another system (okay, maybe not THAT long...). And the 3D KoF? I'm estactic about it - moan all you want about the ills of 3D, or the fact that SNK has never done anything good in 3D, or that it 'ruins' KoF, but they are trying something new. Branching out, moving into other venues - the fact that they are finally working on hardware other than AES/MVS is enough to have me dancing.
Now, if SNK can pull out some good stuff, not rely solely on KoF, and try its hand at hi res 2D...*drool*
I'm hopefully optimistic. Who's with me?

Taito - Excellent. What in particular did they say about Falcoon? They really need to dump that SvC / KoF 2002 / etc. artist and put Falcoon at the reigns.
KOF 3D = PS2
Atomiswave might be a one time deal. It's just a rumor those so don't take it too seriously.
I think Falcoon is freelance...not sure.
SNK is sure making a lot of games recently. Hopefully if these next few projects make a profit, they'll be able to hire more people and become a force again.

Unless they make something else apart from one on one fighters I don't care what they do.
3DO Serial No. 033693019 "Serial number brothers!!!......" *high five*
I've played a lot of 2002, but not 2000 or 2001. Will it worth the $40 price tag?Originally Posted by Recap
I'd think so. KOF 2000 is well worth the money, but 2001 is another case.
It's the worst overall KOF by far, but at least they are improving it by replacing those Sega Genesis-quality backgrounds with 3-D ones, and hopefully they'll include a remix alternative for those sucky BGMs. On the good side, the characters control like butter.
I plan to pick up the package deal regardless, just to show some support.
