Not much pisses me off, really. But...

New Simpsons Episodes: They're so bad they make me want to cry.

Textbook Prices: Self-explanatory, anyone whose in college and has to pay for their books themselves will know.

Random Tuition Hikes: last year the UC raised tuition in the middle of the goddamn year. Can you believe that?? All of the sudden, its like, "oh well we fucked up so you gotta pay an extra $300 this quarter". Hooray for shit state governments.

College Athletics: I enjoy them quite a bit... but still it angers me that these people get free rides. They don't give a shit about the education that many are paying through the nose for. They get extra tutoring for free and they take the easiest, most bullshit majors. They get these wonderful training facilities while I have to go work out in what is essentially a cattle ranch. They got it great, for sure... but thats still not enough...

Now, the athletes are complaining about how they don't get paid. "Our scholarship leaves us with no money at the end of the month and semester"... hey asshole, college students are poor. None of us have any money at the end of the month or semester. That's the sorry cliche that is a college student. STFU and waste your education in sociology.

Professors who act like their class is the only one you're in.

Hmm... that's about it.

Its a good thing that I have a much more positive outlook on college thesedays than I did when I initially started... because tuition is steadily increasing semester after semester down in Texas. I can't wait to get this bullshit over with... I just gotta get my degree as quick as I can now (past fuck ups have slowed me down big time), because the longer I stay in the more in debt I will be. Goddamn. I hate this system. Really makes me think - it'll be hard for me to drop everything and trravel after college when i have this goddamn 5000-6000 bill hanging over my head.

College kids; not in the norm, but the overwhelming exception that makes it a point to keep its stupidity in the limelight. Read: drinkers, bingers, partiers, stoners, most frat/sorority types.

Artists who BS deep meaning to their assignments and believe it.

These things don't reallly piss me off, but they do get under my skin from time to time.

I think Ive mentioned it about 600 times on this board, but its okay...

And people wonder why Grey Davis is so maligned.

Here we have these things called "readers", which are never mentioned until you start class. They are like random articles, publications, shit the prof wrote, etc. to supplement the class. So you buy the books for the class that are listed on the website, you go to class, and the prof tells you that you need to buy a reader, which is another $20-$60. Talk about a screwjob. The only time it worked out well for me is when the professor didnt have us buy the $110 book but the $25 reader. But hell I dont see that happening again.

We have readers too, but they mentioned up front. The profs are actually getting pissed with my bookstore this year, because the reader price they're quoted is not what's charged at the bookstore. Further, some profs what to circumvent the bookstore and sell the readers, in class for cheap; before they get to the prof, the bookstore already has a lock on them.
