Thread: What Are You Reading?

  1. Metamorphosis by Kafka: it's pretty much about a man who wakes up one morning to find that he has been transformed into a giant bug.

  2. #1652
That is such a rare and obscure book, I am so glad you summed it up for us.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
    My Backloggery

  3. Me too, but please use spoiler tags next time, tyre!

I finished Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway (Ernest). It's pretty much about an old man who wakes up one morning to find that he has been transformed into a giant bug.

  4. I remember reading old man and the sea. I will never read any of his other novels.

  5. His novels are shit. His short stories are where it's at.

  6. I tried reading A Farewell to Arms. I could not finish.

  7. Try For Whom the Bell Tolls. Way better.

I'm currently reading Stephen King's Full Dark, No Stars. The short story format really plays to his strengths; he pulls you in, but it ends before he can let you down with a bullshit throwaway ending.

  8. Basically, the balance sheet captures your financial position, or financial condition, at a point in time (on a particular date, such as the end of the year or quarter).

  9. EAT FIVE CUNTS

Agreed. Last story was the best. First half anyway.
