I've seen the book for sale from time to time. I hesitate to read it because I like the movie so much, oft times a book will make a movie unwatchable for me. I don't want the movie ruined. Will the book destroy the movie?

Not at all. They are both fantastic for their own reasons.

I will add it to my list then. Come to think of it I haven't read a single uplifting or fun book in a long time might be a nice change of pace from GoT, Grapes of Wrath, 1984 etc.

I just found a first edition copy (with just jacket) of What We Talk About When We Talk About Love in my house. Bad ass. Gonna read it before I think about selling it.

I liked Syl and Shallan. The rest I was kind of neutral on. Held my attention for ~1200 pages and I'll read the sequel, but was hoping to love more characters.
