I just read that he won the Pulitzer for The Road. Good for him.

  6. I'm currently reading The Secret Life of Houdini: America's First Superhero. It's really interesting, especially if you enjoyed The Prestige and The Illusionist.

  7. The Illusionist was pretty good, haven't seen The Prestige yet.

You should really try to get past the first two chapters. I finally picked it back up and finished it. Three things, one it's written in 1942, the year America began fighting in the war, yet Steinbeck has the ball to predict the Nazi's will fall. Two, you have to know Socrates Apology to understand what happens in the end. And three, why do I expect a book/movie about Nazis to have a happy ending?
