Thread: What Are You Reading?

  1. Yeah I picked up "Everything's Eventual" for something to read on my lunch breaks at work. Not bad. Very inconsistent, and your right, just about every single story has someone dying who smokes...

    In the middle of my trash Stephen King phase right now, reading "From a Buick 8." A totally weird cross of Shawshank Redemption like presentation and Langolier's like Sci-Fi.

  3. I'm going through the complete works of Lovecraft again, in anticipation, in case the Abrams movie is based in Cthulhu mythos.

  6. I'm about 2/3rds through Cormac McCarthy's "The Road." I like the bleak imagery and the mystery as to what caused all of the chaos, but the actual plot is pretty slow and repetitive. That and McCarthy's trademark lack of punctuation save for periods make it hard to follow who is talking at times.

    I'm also reading "Stardust," by Gaiman.

    Marvelous book that does a great job of explaining everything that is wrong with copyright law in the US.
