  1. Pioneer Changes Their Name

    http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=4214
    Geneon.
    Pioneer is now Geneon.

    ...yay?

  2. the name sounds awful, but if they keep bringing out good releases, i won't care. i'll still call them pioneer out of habit anyway.

  3. They can call themselves the Happy Little Elves for all I care as long as they keep bringing out Lupin stuff.

    lupin III fan

  4. Hahah but Happy Little Elves would be a great name for a company...

  5. Don't mind the name change so much, but how the heck do you pronounce it? Jee-Neon, Jeh-Neon, GEN-Neon, GAY-Neon (not meant as a joke)..

Besides, why disassociate yourself in that way? The name Pioneer will exist in the form of their electronics division, right?

  6. Japan, Japan. You guys have to stop taking the first half of one English word and slapping it onto the back end of another. JUST HOW MANY FREAK ACCIDENTS OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE DO YOU INTEND TO MAKE??

  8. Geneon?! How the Hell are you supposed to even pronounce it?!

  9. Hmmm. Geneon comes from Generate Eon.

    I'd guess it's pronounced "Gen-EE-on."

I guess it's a good thing that they didn't choose to abbreviate Generate Capital.

On second thought, Genital would rock as a hentai label moniker...
