Thread: CD Writable that the Xbox can read

  1. CD Writable that the Xbox can read

I have a bunch of obscure wrestling songs I want to put onto Raw 2, but none of the CD-R's I've used the Xbox will recognize. I know it can read some of them, but I can't seem to remember what brands.

    Anyone else know?

  2. I don't know the brand.... but I've heard Xbox can only read CD-RW.

  3. as far as i know, it's very dependent on you xbox model. early versions of the hardware have the most trouble (..or is it the other way around?)

in any case, your best bet is to just try a cd-rw.

  4. yeah somtimes my xbox wouldnt even read store bought albums. but whenever i put something on an rw it was just peachy.

  5. RWs work for me, and I have these 650 meg Maxell CDrs that read fine.

  6. I've used 650 and 700 MB Imation and Maxell (or some name like that) CD-RWs respectively and they've worked fine. Imation CD-Rs have yet to work. I think the CD compatability thing is either based on your disk drive manufacturer (I believe there are three) and/or model. In the end, I just go with trial and error.

Same here. Won't read one of my Five Iron Frenzy CDs and my Save Ferris CD...
I'm gonna have to try that CDRW trick.
