Holy shit. I'm not sure how to react to that. 61,000 is a lot but 15k for 2 months is pathetic.
In the week since the price cut to 99 American boffos, Nintendo sold 61,000 GameCubes in the United States, a quantum leap from the 15,000 units in the months of August and September combined.
"I think it will be sustained (until the Holiday season)," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America senior vice president of marketing.

in one week they sold 4 times as many cubes as they did in 2 months combined?!
it's gotta be joe.
If Nintendo was to sell out the over stocked Gamecubes
in the wherehouse and the production was up then I would be impressed with their numbers. All in all I feel that the price cut
was a move to keep Gamegube afloat. When the numbers of
all the consoles are in from the holiday season then enlighten me!
Go Cube! Hope it continues to do well.
We can only hope...Originally Posted by johnk_
