Thread: Game Soundtracks! What gives you goosebumps?

  1. Game Soundtracks! What gives you goosebumps?

What kind of soundtrack sets you soul on fire!
Only you can stop sig pollution.

  2. I'm listening to the 6 minute version of The Strong Jaeger from the IIDX 7th Style OST at the moment. Good stuff.

  3. Castlevania series has had consistently excellent soundtracks. Vampire Killer and Bloody Tears (and all their remixes) stand out, as does the entire SotN soundtrack.

SSX and the Wipeout series both have great soundtracks, but I like them better while playing than just by themselves.

Halo has one of the greatest soundtracks ever, IMO. Perfectly fit the mood and style of the game, and was used only when appropriate to really get your heart pumping.

Final Fantasy Tactics (psx) had a fitting, soaring orchestrated track. Very moody and epic.

For old-school stuff, you can't beat Loom.

  4. Loom is amazing, But I liked all the lucasarts adventures from that era. I think Monkey Island has always had the most appropriate soundtrack. There really is nowhere else you could put those songs, but in those games, they were more than perfect.
Only you can stop sig pollution.

  5. Mostly old stuff and orchestral music. Storm of Progear was gonna be spinning in my stereo now but no, anyone else got it?

  7. Castlevania IV, Final Fantasy III, Halo, and some of the old forgotten Sega CD Games (Terminator, Batman Returns, Dark Wizard) Pretty much some up my favorites.

  8. Eternal Arcadia OST; cost me a fortune but I got a new one

  9. I have my tastes for MDK, alien trilogy, and silent hill 3... all ripped of course!

  10. Have to pick up CV haunting melodies.
