Thread: Funniest games of all time.

  1. Skullmonkey's is basically the only game I've played that's been mentioned. Earthworm Jim was pretty funny as well. I thought Parappa and Umjammer Lammy had their share of funny moments

I agree. Fallout 1/2 had their share of funny moments, too. I can't believe no Space Quest games made the list.

  3. Grim Fandango is a work of art, and it's too clever for it's own good. It pains me that it didn't make the list, but my faith in the human race has been restored once I saw that there were people here that gave it credit.
And as some others have already said- Sam and Max are damn funny. I can't wait for the sequel.

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

  4. Zero Wing
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

  5. Space Quest 5
    Space Quest 4
Sam and Max Hit the Road
    The Neverhood
    Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
    Bangai-O
    Day of the Tentacle

Only 4 and 6 had voice for the narrator.

Did everyone here read the wall in the Neverhood?

I did... and if you did, you know what I'm talking about.

edit: I could've sworn 5 did, too... I know 4 was the first Space Quest to be on CD, so they added the voice for the novelty factor. Maybe I just did the voice for 5 in my head

SQ6 was great. The demo was nice too, as it was it's own little quest that didn't appear in the game, IIRC. The Bjorn owned the Borg eight times over.

I'll also vouch for Grim Fandango. Not only is it funny, but it's one of the best (if not the best) adventure games ever.

I like it when Roger tells the announcer to shut up, and that Santiago chick is like, "Who are you talking to?"

  9. What about Captin America and the Avengers. That has some of the best quotes ever, with the funniest acting. You gotta play the arcade one though.

There was no CD version of 5.
