i know how to drive a manual just as much as an automatic. Sure the manual's fun to use but it gets rather stale after that. My dad's Sebring is automatic and I enjoy using it sometimes.
Manual (stick-shift).
Automatic.
Own/use at least one of each.
I can't/don't drive.
my car's an automatic. i'd like to learn how to drive a manual/stick car if only some one was willing to let me practice in thier car. i keep thinking about going to london and wanting to rent a car.....since most of 'em are sticks i might get fukked up since i don't really know how to operate'em correctly.

Transmission Nazis...
Seriously,
sports/muscle car=Manual transmission. Its part of the enjoyment of the car. Plus you get better performance and sometimes can get a 6 speed..
Underpowered 4-bangers (usualy Japanese)=Manual Transmission. These cars have no power so slapping a Auto on one will just sap the already too little power.
Average Every-day car/truck = Auto. If your in day to day traffic, you will despise the stick.
I tend to agree. Sporty cars need manuals.Originally Posted by Wildkat
I can drive both but considering the car that I drive (Honda CR-V), I have absolutely no reason drive a manual car. I should be getting a new car soon and depending on what it is I'll just get whichever.
It dosen't matter to meThe laziness inside of me prefers automatic though.

Driving an automatic car, on the rare occasions that I have to, sucks.
I can only suspect the feeling I get, is a lot like guys who have their testicles removed.
In any case, I'll drive a pile of shit with a stick shift, before a great automatic car.
I've driven a standard, but I'd prefer an automatic for the moment.
Auto. Cant drive stick shift. Plus constant changic of gears that manual requires would drive me insane![]()
You don't even notice it after a while, it just becomes instinct. You feel/hear the engine as ready to shift and then you do it.Originally Posted by Despair
I agree with Wildkat. Whenever I see an automatic Mustang or Corvette, I shed a tear. Those new Mazdaspeed cars are really nice and they come standard shift, too.
Not at all. In my everyday driving I like to choose when my car shifts. I don't want some faggot ass car deciding for me.Originally Posted by Wildkat
I have been driving nothing but manual for almost ten years. Not once in that time period did I wish for an automatic.
There is nothing you can do with an automatic that you cant do with a manual.
This includes eating, smoking cigarettes, getting a blowjob, whatever.
