Manual (stick-shift).
Automatic.
Own/use at least one of each.
I can't/don't drive.

Quoted for truth. I can hold a subway sandwich, a glass of pop, and drive a manual transmission car all at the same time.Originally Posted by Icepick
I also like to be in the correct gear for the corner I am taking. Downshifting and braking allows me to be at the proper speed to take a corner and accelerate out without having to brake in the middle of the corner.
I rarely ever use my clutch pedal anyway. If you know what you are doing, you don't have to unless you are taking off from a complete stop.
Shifting w/o the use of the clutch is not a good idea. Bad things can happen, even if you're the king of rev matching.
My old Suzuki Samurai required me to do this near the end of its life. I hated it.
