"Hella" seems like a very West Coast thing, as far as my experience goes. My encounters with it are pretty uncommon... however, here in New England, we have a different abomination. "Wicked." It's pretty new to me, but I must say that it's wicked annoying.

I also hate the word "society," since now it's really only used when some nerdy social failure is talking about how much of a loser he is and lashes out at the rest of the world for being cooler than him. "Well, I don't follow the rules of the rest of society" and "Society places emphasis on getting drunk and being a dipshit, but I'd rather be a lonely, bitter dipshit who's jealous of all of the people I'm always making fun of" are typical uses of the word.
