Thread: True Crime's Soundtrack .

  1. well I'm not gonna roll over and start crying and refuse to buy the game because there's rap in it

lord, you'd think that rock and techno were the only kinds of music allowed in video games

  2. What's wrong with good old fashioned videogame music?

This liscensing nonsense has really gotten out of control. At least GTA did it gracefully and mixed it with a lot of humor.

GTA3 did it brilliantly by allowing the player a quick and easy choice of musical styles to choose from. Also the upcoming xbox port will support creating your own station. Too bad I already have the PC version.

  4. Well, Variety ST would have been better, for sure. But oh well. I am still interested in the game

Music is that important it sets the mood. I can tolerate some weird music choices for some games where it fits well, but in a game like this i want to drive around and kill and shoot stuff to metal music i like, it feels right to me. If i have to play it to rap im more than likely not gonna get into the game. GTA had veriety and and least, something pretty much for most people in there. Hell im gonna pick up GTA for Xbox again to just to play it to my stuff.

No one hear is crying because it has rap, its just now more of an indiffrence to the game rather than a desire to buy it.

Lord, heaven forbid people should be indiffent towards a game becuse it has something they dont care for or missing a feature.

  6. Looks like i'll be turning the music down, and the stereo up...

this isn't a weird music choice for this type of game, it fits fine

No one hear is crying because it has rap
"the game's soundtrack is one of the worst ever"
"i dont care how good TC is im not buying. =/"

  8. The thing is, liking this game shouldn't require the person to have to like rap if they want to listen to the in game music. They surely could've put in more variety, GTA style.

Music isn't what makes a game good, but it can make a big difference when you have to turn the music completely off to enjoy playing the game.

    .
gimme a break. the same thing applies to every game that doesn't have custom soundtracks (i.e. damn near all of them)

liking guilty gear shouldn't require the person to have to like rock if they listen to the in game music, but it does. liking disgaea shouldn't require the person to have to like it's style of music if they listen to the in game music, but it does. very few games make the effort to put in music tracks that cater to everyone's taste, why is it only an issue here?

But do those game's styles of music expand beyond pointless violence and braggadocio? Rap today is filled with talentless, unoriginal "artists" and therefore drags the game down with it by including nothing BUT rap.

Uh oh, am I going to have to sit through a disertation on the talents and merits of "Big Tray Deee", "Suga Free", "Jayo Felony" and the "Pomona City Rydaz"?!
