Thread: TMNT Demo

  1. Raspberry TMNT Demo

    http://downloads.ign.com/objects/609/609953d.html

Downloading it right now myself... Somehow I doubt it'll run on my PC but it's worth a shot. Demo says you can only play as Leo for 1 stage, but hey, it's better than nothing right?!

EDIT:3 stages, one is actual "Beat-em-up" style through NY streets, one is against mousers/giant mouser robot boss, and one is against the nanobot machine in the junkyard from the cartoon.

  2. Whoa, I didn't even know this was coming to PC. Awesome, downloading now

Ok, played it. I'm happy to say it was quite fun, I'm glad Konami didn't mess it up That said, there is no fucking way I'm getting this for PC
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

Link for people like myself who don't like installing whatever IGN wants you to install to get their demo.

Downloading now, thanks for the heads up!

  4. Xbox 360 I

Oh crap, this is great. I've been wanting to try this game out. Thanks for the link(s). Now I can go to sleep.

  5. Impressions:

After figuring out my PC didn't have a "Start" button to press, I figured out they meant "Enter". I love quick ports

Seriously though, it's fun stuff. It's pretty simple, but that was obvious going into it. I remapped all my controls before playing, and throughout the demo I was thinking "y'know it's really lame how you can't jump", and when I got to the boss I was pretty sure I was being an idiot, since it appeared you could jump on two different things. Turns out, I was being an idiot, and there is a jump button after all

So that's one gripe taken away. The game looks great and runs fine on my PC (but I wouldn't dare buy it on PC with the console versions out). Four player support with online play would have been too damn cool, but that's obviously not happening. I like the game's music, has a nice old school action game feel to it, so it fits nicely.

One thing though these turtles need to seriously shut the fuck up. By the end of the demo if I heard Leo say "SPEED SLASH!" one more time, I was ready to smash something. Sure enough, he said "SPEED SLASH!" a lot more, and I didn't smash anything, but boy oh boy was I ready to!

Anyone expecting a solid 3D beat em up will be pleased by this game. Anyone expecting more than a beat em up is liable to be disappointed by this one. I'll pick it up when I see it for the Cube or Xbox for $20 or less methinks.

  6. I was able to download it from IGN without installing anything just fine... There's a free "direct download" link.

Not from what I saw, but you can launch them into the air...

  9. Edit: I'm an idiot, I see the direct link now.
