Well, turns out since I moved out on my own I need one at least once a month for all sorts of random shit. I guess parents just know stuff sometimes.
Same thing for me. They year I moved out they gave me tools, towels, and a can opener.

I was bummed out until things started breaking, and I had the tools to fix.

    Parents rule.

  2. Project Gotham Racing 2
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

  3. You Home Depot lovers make me sick. Lowe's for life.

Though, I can definitely understand the desire for those kinds of gift certificates. It really burns me that there's nowhere I can work on projects in the dorms. Once I get most of my tools from home, I can think about starting work on my supergun, but I'm not sure where I'm going to do it.

That said, if my parents got me a Dremel for Christmas, I'd be a happy man. And I wouldn't need to borrow other people's for ridiculous amounts of time.

When it comes to games, though, I never ask for more than one or two for Christmas ever, because I won't play them. If I buy a lot of games at once most will always get neglected. Not a good idea. I generally think of games that remind me of Christmas. Since I'm gonna drop some money on a white Saturn fairly soon, I think if I could track down a Japanese copy of Christmas Nights and the white analog controller, I'd be pretty happy about that. And playing Shenmue has become a yearly tradition around then. It began when I got the Japanese version on release, and continued with the US version and after. Since I first played it then, I've always associated it with that time of year, and I really like that. Go figure.

    Oooooh... Dremel.

    I want one.

  5. THUG

    FFT:A
    Viewtiful Joe
    Pro Evo Soccer 3
    F-Zero GX

Probably will only get 2 of them though. Just buy the rest myself..

*walks over to the fully-equipped wood-shop on campus*

  7. There are no Lowes around here. It's a Home Depot monopoly in Western NY.

I need a new dremel too. I bought a cheap battery-operated one and the battery is no good anymore. I hate rechargable stuff, give me an extension cord and a power outlet any day.

  8. Im old and I dont get that much anymore, but my parents still like to buy me stuff, I imagine that next year is gonna be the last year I get much of anything... since Im gonna be out of college in 2005.

I wanna get the Sopranos 3rd season because Im a Sopranos whore, and I cant think of much else. I really want an iPod but I dont have the heart to ask for $300 merchandise anymore.

  9. I buy the games I don't want to wait for (Double Dash, Ninja Gaiden) and then put the others on the my Christmas list. I'll probably ask for THUG, ESPN Hockey, Beyond Good & Evil, Jak II and a few others, then get about two of them.

  10. Double Dash and Metroid Prime would be great.
