Reviews don't influence my purchasing decisions much. Although EGM panned Mystical Fighter on Genesis, I went ahead and bought it regardless- and actually enjoyed it. El Viento (Genesis) got good reviews, but I found it to be way too easy.

The Review Crew said that in Giga Wing you "often can't avoid death", but I (and players in TNL's Giga Wing score thread) and a group of players on the Anmitsu scorelist would disagree.

When I look at a review, the scores don't matter. If a game got a 4, what's more important is WHY.

i agree, and whats worse, egm gave this thread a 8.5, but the mamoscott bug is totally killing this thread, its a 5.5 if that.

I bought Hoshigami purely because GameGO! said it was the next Tactics. I think they meant Disgaea, but didn't know it.
