Square Enix has shipped Final Fantasy XI for the PC, a MMORPG based slightly on the very popular and long-running RPG series. A PlayStation 2 version will be out in March and players will be connected to the same fantasy universe regardless of which platform they are on.

There are currently over 300,000 active PlayOnline subscribers in Japan and we are confident that Final Fantasy XI will find similar success in North America."
