New Cho Aniki game for PS2!

A new game in the Cho Aniki series is being released on PS2, so says Gamespot and Famistu. The game is being published by Global A (?) and developed by Xnauts/Psikyo. The game is odd to say the least. Your mission is to protect a magic glob of protien from enemy musclemen who desire it's power. The game is currently 90% complete and due this Fall.

About Cho Aniki. The main games are side view shooters though there's a few other card titles. The first game was a PCE Super CD where you guided a man or woman through a dark fantasyland. The game had some great music and art style. Later (also on Super CD) came Ai Cho Aniki, a game where you controlled a muscleman who shot lasers by posing. The game was very...manly, though the graphics and music were first rate for a Turbo game. The poor control scheme with Street Fighter style moves made the game way too annoying tough. Cho Aniki on Saturn and PSone was billed a "remake", in reality it was horrid photoshop nightmare with little redeeming value. *-neo
