Thread: Preview: Painkiller

1. Yield Preview: Painkiller

One of the surprise titles at E3 was known as Painkiller, a frentic first person shooter that harkened back to the good ol' days of Doom when everything was about throwing as many enemies on the screen as possible and letting God sort them out. Oddly enough, this game came from publisher Dreamcatcher, not exactly the type of company you'd expect to publish a game as fast-paced and as gory as this one, considering their previous efforts. Not only are there plenty of enemies to bludgeon or impale in this game, but thanks to the advances in modern technology, you'll also be able to do all of this in the obligatory bullet-time. There isn't anything like watching a demon get his while circle-strafing around his flying corpse 6 times in slow motion.

3. March 2004 for PC, sometime in 2004 for Xbox.
If my memory of her has an expiration date, let it be 10,000 years.

4. I'm not one to pimp PC releases over the 'box, but I may make an exception here. March '04 it is.
