Regardless of whether it's true or not, that was a hell of a good read
to conspiracy threads.
But the fact is this story intriuged me quite a bit.
Just read it, and if you know about Coast to Coast with Art Bell, you know that this is definatley out of the norm for anything thats gone on on that show.
John Lear was in the CIA for years, invented the Lear Jet, and beyond that, who knows. People have been trying for years to get him to spill his guts about what he knows about this stuff and last week, he did, and it was to say the least very, very, blunt.
Here's the transcript from the Coast to Coast website...
Art Bell: Let's say the government chose me. They were going to use me as an outlet to release this information. Let's just say they did that and they took me to a briefing. Then what John?
John Lear: They whisk you to Washington, DC, you get limo-ed to this building, beautiful building, you go up into this room. They say, 'Art, you're the guy and if you give us the go ahead, we are gonna release everything we know to the public. If you decide to go ahead, all major networks will be provided with information on all aspects of the cover up and no type of information will be withheld. Because of the deal for immunity for all participants of the cover up provides that nothing, no artifacts, no piece of information be withheld.'
So here's what happened, Art. We'll use some videos and stills. Our first UFO recoveries were in the late '30s. We made a couple in the beginning of the '40s and then came Roswell, which the public found out about. We got 2 live aliens from Roswell. One died shortly there after and one lived till 1956. And we found out so far there are 18 different alien species that we know about monitoring Earth. Some are good and some are hostile, most are indifferent. We found out that we are the experimental product, if you will, of an alien race who we never met and we don't know who they are. All we know is that the Greys are cybernetic organisms, glorified robots if you will, who work here at the behest of their employers monitoring us through abductions. We were never able to find out what the experiment is all about except that we have been externally corrected about 65 times. And they, the aliens, refer to us as "Containers." There's been speculation that the souls our bodies contain is the reason for the experiments. But nothing's been proven or determined.
Since 1938 we've lost over 200 aircraft due to UFO hostilities and thousands of soldiers in all kinds of different actions with aliens. Since that time several hundred thousand civilians have disappeared with no trace. Several thousand of those were eliminated by us because of their chance encounters with the aliens which we could ill afford to have publicized.
A slightly more frightening phenomena known as "human mutilations" have occurred on a regular basis and are similar to "cattle mutilations". In that the human or humans are taken from the street, so to speak, and returned to the same area about 45 minutes to an hour later with their rectums cored out, their genitals removed, eyes removed from their sockets, and completely drained of blood. In all cases it appeared that the mutilation procedures occurred while the persons were still alive and conscious. One of our scientists speculates that apparently the human specimens had to be alive for the samples to be worth anything. Abductions occur on a daily basis throughout the United States to at least 10% of the population.
When we were first made aware this we protested to the little grey being we had held in captivity at the YY-2 facility in Los Alamos, but a deal was struck that in exchange for advanced technology from the aliens we would allow them to abduct a very small number of persons and we would periodically be given a list of those persons abducted. We got something less than the technology we bargained for and found the abductions exceeded by a million fold than what we had naively agreed to.
In 1954, President Eisenhower met with a representative of another alien species at Muroc Test Center, which is now called Edwards Airforce Base. This alien suggested that they could help us get rid of the Greys but Eisenhower turned down their offer because they offered no technology.
At this point it became apparent to all involved that there was no such thing as a God, at least how the public perceives God. Certainly some form of computer recorder stores information and an occasional miracle is displayed by the aliens to influence a religious event. This so unnerved Eisenhower that he had "In God We Trust" put on paper money and coins and put in the Pledge of Allegiance to reaffirm the public belief in God. Shortly after this it was determined in meetings between the US and the Russians that the situation was serious enough that a cold war should be manufactured as a ruse to divert attention of the public away from UFOs towards some other scary threat like the H-bomb. It was also decided to keep the ruse secret from any elected or appointed officials within both the US and Russian governments as it took so long to vet these officials and the ruse was easier to manage if the top people didn't know about it.
In the late 1950's NASA was formed to compartmentalize, containerize, and sanitize information from all space platforms and vehicles. We sold NASA to the public claiming that all information would belong to them but they got very little and even that was highly sanitized.
Our first efforts were to keep the public from learning about Venus. A very similar planet to Earth and it's population is very similar to us just technologically advanced. We have learned a lot from them starting with the Russian Venera 1 and US Mariner 2, we made Venus look like a lead melting, volcanic surface, spewing sulfuric acid into a pressurized atmosphere 90 times that of Earth. And as often the case we over did it and we wondered why nobody asked how a parachute survived a descent into 800-degree air. We set up operations in Pine Gap, Australia to preclude any prying eyes figuring out what we were up to. We regularly eliminated through extreme prejudice anybody who was part of the operation and made the least little tiny threat about disclosure or dissatisfaction with the operation. Any space mission that included Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Mariner, Voyager, Clementine, and all the rest. All data initially came transmitted to Pine Gap then it was relayed to JPL or wherever after sanitizing. We had a little trouble with amateur radio operators but we figured out how they could intercept these signals but we managed to deal with that.
When the Russian threat began to fade we introduced Vietnam which kept the public occupied for over ten years. The cover up and personnel to run the operation began to get bigger and bigger and required more and more money. We were forced to inflate the defense budget, which soon not enough. Then we got into the drug business which was still not enough. We were the ones that looted the savings and loan industry and Wall Street to boot. It is so out of control now most people want immunity and want out. But there is so much secrecy and so many double and triple blinds in place that it's unlikely that this thing can ever be dismantled. And even if you give us the go ahead to spill the beans to the public it's unlikely they will get anything more than "yes, we recovered a flying saucer and yes, there was an occupant" but that's all we're gonna tell ya.
So go ahead and roll the tape for Mr. Bell. What you see here are what human mutilations look like. That one was a male about 27 years old. That one is film of dead aliens being pulled from the wreckage of a craft that crashed in Olancha, California in the '50s. That craft you see over there was over 250ft. in diameter and had to be buried on the spot. That site is in Utah near Dugway Proving Grounds. The object you're looking at now is the as the Kecksburg Acorn which was brought to Wright Patt in the middle '60s. There's Frank Drake trying to force information out of a being tied down to a stretcher. He was supposedly from Tao Ceti.
These pictures you're looking at now are structures on the Moon. That's the tower in Sinus Medii and it's over seven miles tall. And that thing over there is what we call the Colossus of Oguram(sp) in Mare Crisium. We don't know what it does but the machine itself is bigger than Brooklyn, New York. Now those are videos of the domes covering the craters. As you can see, some are in a very advanced state of decay.
These are 5 second slides of the 18 different alien species we are looking at. That one there is the most gruesome looking. The guards at one facility are carefully indoctrinated over several months being shown pictures similar to but not exactly like the alien. Only when he'd been acclimatized, so to speak, of the horrible looking beings are they allowed to stand in security positions. Before these acclimatizations were done, we had two guards die of a heart attack as the aliens came down the hallway unexpectedly.
And this last clip is of the Kennedy assassination. You've heard of the second gunman theory? Well, this is the second camera that recorded exactly what happened and we had 4 gunmen. And the bottom line was that Kennedy had to go. He insisted on releasing what little alien information we had told him about and he was trying to withdraw troops from Vietnam which we were using as a diversion for the public. After Kennedy we never told any President anything. Nixon knew because he was briefed as VP in 1952. That's how we knew where to take Jackie Gleason to Homestead Air Force Base to see the alien bodies we had in storage there.
And that's about it. What say you Art Bell? Do we brief the public? Yay or nay?"

His tone, if you ever hear the interview, is what makes it so truthful, because really sounds like he doesn't give a shit what you think, without sounding like a dick, or like he's lying.

Maybe I missed it but is there a link to the actual interview? Personally I won't even believe John Lear himself said that unless I heard it or it was confirmed by someone NOT a part of a conspiracy forum. If it really was him though, why would he reveal all of that if supposedly people were eliminated for showing even a hint of them possibly going public with everything? Anyways, I like the whole "Guards had a heart attack when they saw the more gruesome alien species", finally some entertaining conspiracies again
so basically (going by the transcript), everything that's happened in the past 50-60 years was a big giant lie just to cover up for the moon men?
ain't that a mind fuck.
good read nonetheless.
Hey you can believe it or not, but the information is there, and the crediblity is pretty high (when you go from hicksville to someone who definatley spent more than ten years in the CIA and above). I mean hey, I find it fascinating because of where this story is coming from, and the fact that I heard the whole interview (I'm telling you, his tone, and the way he answers questions for four hours, is just fucking creepy).
Anyway I doubt they'd kill him, the guy went on Art Bell which no one takes seriously in the least (which kind of sucks cause he does have some good guests sometimes). Also killing him at this point would do nothing but make people look at the story harder and be more inclined to believe him.

Read the book "Little Green Men" by Christopher Buckley. A fun read.

I've heard of that book, is it more fiction or someone claiming the material is real?
Cause really I dig consipiracy theories and all, but the reason this one is so fascinating is because of where this story is coming from.

YAWA I'll keep looking for the interview audio as well
All i know is me and my friend were on mescaline once, whcih is some sort of mind fuck drug, not like acid where you see weird shit, but more of a mental high.
So he says to me, "hey you know anyone over the age of 150," i replied "well..no" he says, "well how do you know this isnt some sort of huge experiment, all the history, etc has been planted and people arranged at different age intervals to trick us into believing we have a history by some sort of advanced culture."
i shit you guys not, a loud popping noise then occured in the room and my whole body was buzzing for the next 20 minutes, i got up and paced off the buzzing eventually, it was easily one of the most bizzare experiences in my life.
it was really as if we unconvered some sort of truth and our bodies reacted to it.
just a thought thats vaguely related to the topic.
First time I've ever heard the Greys referred to as robots...
Watch the movie "Dark City".Originally Posted by DOVESKI

On another note YAWA, you might be interested in something that was on TechTV's unscrewed a while ago. Apparently someone has figured out non-rocket powered space travel. I'm not talking launching, or that gay solor cloth. Like real gravity engines, and what not. Real-Deal stuff. You can even buy the book on the math behind it.
Well no shit, but before and after the buzzing stopped i was still "high" on the mesc, and the pop was external and it ripped my skull open, the buzzing and the pop were outside of the mesc "experiece" but still part of it or rather BECAUSE of it. It was some weird shit, regardless i hope that my friend wasnt right cause i feel more comfy beleiving in god and Jesus and all that stuff.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid this has been taken entirely out of context. Lear was not saying all of this was true. His whole point of coming on the show that night was to express his new feelings that if indeed there was a huge consipraicy, the government was doing the right thing by covering it up.
This statement was simply a scripted "what if" scenario. Lear acted like he was a governement agent, who was going to tell Art the truth, and let him decide whether they should tell the public about it or not. He covered all the bases and laid it on thick to prove his point. He wasn't saying that this is what he believes. He may believe some, or all, of it but that's not the context in which it was stated.
Interestingly enough at the end he asked Art to decide , given what he now knows, whether this should be made public and they both agreed it should not. It was purely a hypothetical situation and should not be taken as his word.
That all said, he did voice his opinion on many issues that night; and some of it was quite compelling. This kind of thing is not at all uncommon to hear on Coast to Coast.
haha, thats awesome, but alot of it is a little too ridiculous for me to believe (I don't really believe any of it though), especially the moon and venus shit.
Good read.
I like this one as well:
Nazi Moon Base
The Germans landed on the Moon as early as probably 1942, utilizing their larger exoatmospheric rocket saucers of the Miethe and Schriever type. The Miethe rocket craft was built in diameters if 15 and 50 meters, and the Schriever Walter turbine powered craft was designed as an interplanetary exploration vehicle. It had a diameter of 60 meters, had 10 stories of crew compartments, and stood 45 meters high. Welcome to Alice in Saucerland. In my extensive research of dissident American theories about the physical conditions on the Moon I have proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that there is atmosphere, water and vegetation on the Moon, and that man does not need a space suit to walk on the Moon. A pair of jeans, a pullover and sneakers are just about enough. Everything NASA has told the world about the Mood is a lie and it was done to keep the exclusivity of the club from joinings by the third world countries. All these physical conditions make it a lot more easier to build a Moon base.
Ever since their first day of landing on the Moon, the Germans started boring -and tunneling under the surface, and by the end of the war there was a small Nazi research base on the Moon. The free energy tachyon drive craft of the Haunibu-1 and 2 type were used after 1944 to haul people," materiel and the first robots to the construction site on the Moon. When Russians and Americans secretly landed jointly on the Moon in the early fifties with their own saucers, they spent their first night there as guests of the .... Nazi underground base. In the sixties a massive Russian - American base had been built on the Moon, that now has a population of 40,000 people, as the rumor goes. After the end of the war in May 1945, the Germans continued their space effort from their south polar colony of Neu Schwabenland. I have discovered a photograph of their underground space control center there.
GERMAN-JAPANESE MILITARY R&D COOPERATION:
According to Renato Vesco again, Germany was sharing a great deal of the advances in weaponry with their allies the Italians during the war. At the Fiat experimental facility at lake La Garda, a facility that fittingly bore the name of air martial Hermann Goering, the Italians were experimenting with numerous advanced weapons, rockets and airplanes, created in Germany. In a similar fashion, the Germans kept a close contact with the Japanese military establishment and were supplying it with many advanced weapons. I have discovered for example a photo of a copy of the manned version of the V-1 - the Reichenberg - produced in Japan by Mitsubishi. The best fighter in the world - the push-pull twin propeller Domier-335 was duplicated at the Kawashima works. Or a photo of Japanese high ranking Imperial navy officers inspecting the latest German radar station.
A Japanese friend of mine in Los Angeles related to me the story of his friend's father, who worked as technician in an aircraft research bureau in Japan during the war. In July of 1945, two and a half months after the war ended in Germany, a huge German transport submarine brought to Japan the latest of German inventions - two spherical wingless flying devices. The Japanese R&D team put the machines together, following the German instructions, and... there was something very bizarre and other-earthy standing in front of them - a ball shaped flying device without wings or propellers, that nobody knew how it flied. The fuel was added, the start button of this unmanned machine was pressed* and it .... disappeared with a roar and flames without a in the sky. The team never saw it again. The engineers were so frightened by the unexpected might of the machine, that they promptly dynamited the second prototype and choose to forget the whole incident.
GERMAN-JAPANESE FLIGHT TO THE MOON AND MARS IN 1945-46:
According to the authors of the underground German documentary movie from the Thule society, the only produced craft of the Haunibu-3 type - the 74 meter diameter naval warfare dreadnought - was chosen for the most courageous mission of this whole century - the trip to Mars. The craft was of saucer shape, had the bigger Andromeda tachyon drives, and was armed with four triple gun turrets of large naval caliber (three inverted upside down and attached to the underside of the craft, and the fourth on top of the crew compartments).
A volunteer suicide crew of Germans and Japanese was chosen, because everybody knew that this journey was a one-way journey with no retum. The large intensity of the electro-magnetogravitic fields and the inferior quality of the metal alloys used then for the structural elements of the drive, was causing the metal to fatigue and get very brittle only after a few months of work of the drive. The flight to Mars departed from Germany one month before the war ended - in April 1945.
It was probably a large crew, numbering in the hundreds, because of the low level of automation and electronic controls inside the saucer. Most of the systems of the craft had to be operated like these on a U-boat of that time - manually. Because the structurally weakened tachyon drives were not working with full power and not all the time, the trip to Mars took almost 8 months to accomplish. An initial short trust towards Mars was probably used the strong gravitational field close to Earth, after that the craft was "coasting" for 8 months in an elliptical orbit to Mars with its main drives turned off. Later trips to Mars by the joint Soviet - American craft in 1952 and by the Vatican craft of the Marconi project from Argentina in 1956 reached Mars in only 2 - 3 days, because their drives were working during the whole flight: accelerating in the first half and decelerating in the second. Smaller Kohler converters were probably used to power the systems and life support equipment on board. I do not have any information at the present time about any artificial gravity capability on board the craft, but that could have been easily done with the large antigravity drives of the ship.
After a heavy, almost crashing landing, the saucer slammed to a stop, damaging irreparably its drives, but saving the crew. That happened in the middle of January 1946. The crash landing on Mars was not only due to the crippled tachyon drives of the craft - it was also due to the smaller gravitational fleld of Mars generating less power for the tachyon drives; and also due to the thinner atmosphere on Mars, that could not be used as effectively for air breaking as the Earth's atmosphere could. The craft was shaped as a giant saucer - a form that is very efficient as an air brake, when it is entered into the atmosphere with its luge cross section perpendicular to the trajectory of descent.
One question, that I have not answered yet in the affirmative is how were the Germans able to regenerate the air inside the craft for 8 months for this big crew. Quite probably they were using advanced life support systems, developed initially for their larger Walter turbine and free energy submarines, that were cruising the oceans without resurfacing.
The radio message with the mixed news was received by the German underground space control center in Neu Schwabenland and by their research base on the Moon.

The above what you are reading is a summary a listener did so the show would have text to go with the archive, and PB's right I believe some of it is out of context. But all of it? Nah, I know for a fact John Lear has indeed stated a good deal of it before, and perhaps his trick to not getting shut off the air was mixing a certain amount of fiction with his supposed truth. Also remember that Lear has said a lot of the same things in a few other interviews and writings where he was not ad-libbing. Ultimately, you might be able to put something very credible together by looking up his old stuff, hearing this, and then eliminating what isn't consistent.
Thank you for clearing that up though...
* I do however have a very interesting clip from the show, a two minute phone call that happened on a past episode that Art regards as one of, if not the strangest phone call he's ever taken on the subject, or in his career.
Its pretty freaky, and not for the easily pussed.

This is all supposedly, so...
this guy calls up who sounds very, very, upset and states that he used to work at area 51, he was discharged a week ago for "medical reasons", and that he's been running across the country all week. He says the call must be brief as they will triangulate the call soon. The whole time he is getting more and more upset.
Then he says that aliens as the public is meant to percieve them is wrong, they are, extra dimensional beings that the precursor to NASA made contact with in the forties or fifties. He then says that they are not what they say they are and have infiltrated every aspect of the military and know about upcoming disasters, and that there are safe places on the planet the government could be moving the population too right now. But they aren't, because they want the major population wiped out so that we are easier to control.
At this point he is beyond hysterical, completely freaking out and crying, and tries to keep talking, but the station starts cutting out...
That in itself is an interesting little thing, but what happens next is the fucked up thing.
The whole radio station goes dead.
They are off the air I believe for fifteen minutes (the tape is edited so they come back on after fifteen seconds) and Art is on with another caller, and asks him if he got that. The guy says he did, but not all of it, and that the guy was really freaking out. Art says they are on under a backup internal generator, and that the station has never gone dead like that before, and says, "I think whatever that guy had to say, somebody didn't want us to hear it."
The whole thing is pretty creepy.

If he's running around the country all week how would they know where he was calling from, and that he was on Art Bell anyways?
Well doug, thats why I said supposedly. But lets face it, Art is a weird, weird guy, so I don't attribute any reaction he has to be like, giving away.
If it was staged its still cool, but even Art has his limits with respectablity and that is not something that would be cool with crediblity.
also remember two things.
The whole station went out in nevada, not just his show (I doubt his higer ups would let him get away with that) and that the guy really didn't sound like he was in a good state of mind to really care if they did or didn't find him.
Just two points to argue, the obvoius one being the station gave out.

alright i just saw your added comments. Yeah those are good points they wouldn't want it all going down for 15 minutes just for Art Bells show. I didn't even know the station was located in Nevada either
If you had a show doug, where 80% of what you talked about were, government coverups, aliens, lies the governement tells you, and crackpot theories on, that drew the listener base that his show does, and pretty much gives up as much as possible on the air that they can, where art stress and asks people to constantly record the shows he does if you want (for free) so that hard copies are everywhere "just in case",
I think said government would listen to the show despite discharging some loony.
