Not to support Mike, but I think the authorities need to be very careful to figure out exactly what the case is here. The term "lolicon" for the Japanese means an attraction for or desire to be with young children. (Typically used for guys who are attracted to young girls, but it can work in any way.) The thing is, that doesn't always mean a sexual attraction. A good example of this is Lewis Carroll, who had a deep attraction to young girls. So far as I know, however, it was never proven to be a sexual one.
Now, in our society, such feelings, even non-sexual, are very much looked down upon. However, it is VERY important to make the distinction between wanting to be with young children, wanting to be around them, and even sleeping together in the same bed, and having actual sexual feelings towards them and acting upon those feelings.
As creepy as we may find him, I'm not convinced that he has actual sexual desires towards children and acts upon them. I think that, because of his "love" for children (which reaches level that many can't understand or feel comfortable with), the moment somebody stands up and accuses him of doing something more, people are instantly going to believe that.
Creepy as you may find him, though, he doesn't deserve to go through this unless it is absolutely true.
