  1. Spike TV: Running Commentary of Video Game Awards

    Lessee...

They open up with giving Madden 04 game of the year, from a list of nothing more than a few months old, some which are not released. save a couple high profiles.

Pro'lly an excuse to put cheerleaders in wet clothes.

5 minutes of rap music/ rock moshing because that's where I usually go to discuss getting toad in Mario Kart Double dash.

David Spade... being david spade, I guess. Not that I could hear him over the mic boom.

Best animation award went to DOA extreme Beach Volleyball... apparently for the opening CG... See my note about Cheerleaders above...

It's different enough from Cybermania, or what I did not repress...

Funny bits with Heiachi and Sam Fisher though.

Ray Liotta just got the "Best Human" award.

I don't see much from Japanese companies, anywhere.

Li'l Kim gave me permission to turn down the volume.

Best Game Based on a movie is "Enter The Matrix"

    oooooohhh!!! P.O.D. !!!

    BRB

    .....

I think I can gamble good money on awards for NBA Street, And Anything On Xbox.

And since it's Spike TV.... I will go out on a limb...

BMXXX gets an award for something, but not Tony Hawk's Award, being a sponsor and all...

Sadly, being the only one to deserve a game award, I hate to see Tony get moshed into this crowd... I almost hope he loses like all the other good games...

  2. We already know all the winners.

And since South Park is on right now, and it's the "shit" episode, looks like the VGA's are the loser.
    R.I.P Kao Megura (1979-2004)

  3. Point taken... I will now give commentary on the Pokemon on Cartoon Network right now.

Poor Sabrina.... She should know that people still love her.

    Man, Ash can be dense!!!

Man.... I Wanna be a hero too!

  4. I'm flipping between this and SmackDown and there's been more gaming footage on SD with them doing a quick Benoit-Lesnar piece in SD 5 than there has been on the VGAs. Well, maybe that's an exageration, but I think I've seen about five minutes of gaming stuff on the VGAs in the first off-and-on 50 mins. of it.

  5. I am glad Pokemon had a happy ending, Ever since "Bye Bye Butterfree" I always brace myself for an emotional rollercoaster in the last ten minutes.

Jackie Chan was clever, with many pythonesque moments in a british setting.

Samurai Jack is a repeat, so I have posted again.... Still, it's a good episode.
Only you can stop sig pollution.

  6. I still can't believe what I heard when I saw a VGA commercial. They called it the "Whose Your Daddy" of awards shows. Unless I heard wrong...that is the stupidest thing I think I've ever heard.

  8. This is the worst award show ever.
If they think all gamers are generalized by urban culture, cheerleaders and crappy games then I guess I'm not a gamer.

Right now, I am not proud to be a gamer.
    These awards suck.

I'd rather see an American Gladiator Reunion Award Ceremony.... *to the gladiator who let himself go the most........ THUNDER!!!!!...*forklift comes out**

    Sigh....

  9. The TNT/TBS video game awards from eight years ago completely kills this crock of shit. However, this show is tape-worthy due to it being "that" bad.
