If any of you got some free time and money and you want an arcade machine, you should hit up that auction. Most of the people in the area are college kids (ie, broke as fuck), and theres gonna be a lot of shit for sale...
What a damn shame. One of the best arcades I've ever been to.

Shame that I have to work this weekend.
Always sad to see one go.
Thats a pretty depressing read. Even though I rarely go anymore (We're talking like once every 6 months), I'd probably be pretty broken up if SVGL closed.
Play Guitar Hero //
it truely was the "crown jewel of Pennsylvania".
From the article it sounds like there'll be some serious collectors and operators there.Originally Posted by diffusionx

It would be like a pilgrimage.
Besides Hersheypark, Playland was the only great arcade left in PA. And I doubt Hersheypark is all that great anymore; surely they couldn't touch Playland when it comes to tuned to perfection controls. Everything at Playland played like it was brand new the few times I was there. I wish I'd known the place better.
I'm actually sad![]()
I'd hit up that sale if I wasn't living on the opposite coast.
Always sucks when an awesome arcade closes down, a fast-dying breed.I finally found a good local joint out here in Vegas and I hope they stick around for a long, long time.
omg TNL epics!
