I'd kill for a new Punch-Out. SNES one was divine.

I just played the Arcade version at a bar the other day, it had been a long long time since I played it.

Reminded me more of the SNES version, than the NES one, but it was still fun, to an extent. Damn joystick was busted

    Perfected on the SNES? Hardly.

I'm sure everyone loves it when their opponents can win by kicking them in a boxing game.

The NES version was perfection. The SNES sequel, while not a bad game, doesn't hold a candle to the original.

This new Kirby game will kick so much ass. More original GBA games from Nintendo is never a bad thing.

  4. Why does every Kirby game need a gimmick?

Give me Dreamland 2 or Superstar anyday. Milky Way Wishes and The World's Strongest mini-game kept me occupied for hours on end.

  6. Neat. I've never really been the biggest Kirby fan, so I can't say I'm terribly interested, but I'll keep an eye out.

  7. I remember playing Kirby when I was little, I always thought the game was pretty fun although I am GBA-less :/

The SNES version was much closer to the original Punch-Out coin-ops than the NES port. The only reason the NES rev was changed so drastically is because of the limitations of the console.

    I don't see why a Jackie-Chan rip-off boxer shouldn't kick. This isn't Knockout Kings.

The NES game sure is tougher but Super Punch-Out is clearly the better game.

Last I checked, there's no kicking in boxing. You can prefer Super Punch-Out to the original, but you can't deny how retarded it is to have your opponents kick, throw shit in your eyes to blind you, or headbutt you in a boxing game. I understand that it's not supposed to be entirely realistic, but the game is still grounded in the basic rules of the sport. At least the special moves in the NES versions all involved different types of punches.

The NES Punch-Out is my favorite boxing game of all time. There are other things I disliked about Super Punch-Out as well, but I don't want to go off on some huge rant unrelated to the thread's topic.

I don't like Sonic. Hedgehogs aren't really blue, so that's retarded.
