Thread: A Veritable Forest

  1. A Veritable Forest

We've done the best snow levels ever, but what are your favorite forest levels? I'm playing through Halo again and the second level ("Halo") is really well done. Other favorites include Horteka from Skies of Arcadia, Haven Forest in Jak II, most of FFIX, and the overworlds in both N64 Zeldas.

  2. Well, at least we have your brilliant posts to keep us entertained.

  3. I'm not sure about forests, but Shenmue had one hell of a tree.

Linkle Liver Story's tree is damned fine, too.

  4. Castlevania 2.

Never cared about that, but the swampy forest level in the second half of Halo is easily the greatest level in the entire game. I wish it had more levels like that, it was intense and slick as hell.

  6. I've always been a fan of the forests in the Need for Speed series.

That was actually a pretty creepy level too.

I'll say Dead or Alive 3 as far as forests go.
    o_O

  8. The jungle level in Goldeneye was kinda cool.

All the 3d Zelda games have excellent forests.

The best thing about GT3 is how the sun shines through the trees. Mark of Kri deserves mentioning too.

EDIT- MGS3 will likely be the best when its released.

  9. The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.

I'll never forget the first time I picked up the master sword, only to realize that it was a fake.
